Safe & Sober Grad Night

Graduation is a moment our students work toward for years—a night filled with pride, excitement, and hope for the future. But it is also one of the most dangerous nights of the year for teens.

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teenagers, and nearly one in three teen drivers killed in crashes had alcohol in their system. In Nevada alone, almost 30% of traffic fatalities involve an alcohol-impaired driver. These are not distant statistics—they represent real families, real futures, and losses that can never be undone.

Safe & Sober Grad Night exists to protect our graduates when they are most vulnerable. This celebratory event is held following graduation, and is a alcohol- and drug-free party for graduates. Graduates can enjoy a safe, supervised environment filled with food, entertainment, activities, and big prizes. Safe & Sober Grad Night gives students a fun, meaningful way to celebrate—without putting their lives or futures at risk.

We do this because one night should never change a lifetime. Because every graduate deserves to walk into adulthood safely. When our community comes together, we can prevent tragedy before it happens.

This dynamic duo can be seen at all Booster events and is tirelessly dedicated to Safe & Sober Grad Night's commitment to providing a fun, safe, and substance-free celebration for our graduating seniors.

Dominique Ramos

Hi everyone! My name is Dominique Ramos. I’ve been involved with the Boosters since 2015, proudly serving on the board as the Safe and Sober Grad Night chair, a role I absolutely love. It’s incredibly rewarding to help plan, fundraise, and throw a fun, memorable celebration for our well deserving seniors each year.

I’m married to my husband Peter, and we have a big, beautiful family, five kids (three of whom have already graduated), plus a senior, a junior, and a sweet 5 year old grandson. We've called Dayton home since 2008.

Peter and I also own a business together, so when I’m not working on Booster events, I’m busy helping run our company. Life is full, busy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Looking forward to another great year!

Assistant Safe & Sober Grad Night Chairwoman

Kirstin Clifford

I am Kirstin Clifford, and I am proud to serve as the Sober Grad Night Assistant for the Boosters, a role that allows me to contribute to our community's youth in a meaningful way. As a wife, mother, business owner, and native of small-town Nevada, I have a deep-rooted commitment to fostering the growth and success of our young adults. My dedication to community service is reflected in my past role as the Sponsorship Coordinator for the Silverada Little League Board and my current involvement as a volunteer with the Dayton 4-H program. This marks my third year supporting Sober Grad Night, and I am thrilled to take on my first year as an official board member. I strongly believe in the importance of Sober Grad Night as a safe, celebratory event that honors the academic achievements of our graduates while supporting their transition into adulthood.

Outside of my volunteer work, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, who are the heart of my world. Whether we are backpacking through Nevada’s breathtaking mountains, casting lines at a serene fishing spot, or sitting together in our church pew, being with my loved ones is where I feel most at home. Beyond my faith and family, I am passionate about giving back to the community and find great fulfillment in helping others wherever there is a need, particularly when it comes to supporting our youth. My volunteer efforts are driven by a desire to make a positive impact and provide opportunities for the next generation to thrive.

I am excited to collaborate with a dedicated group of individuals this year, all of whom share a common goal of supporting our students and strengthening our community. I look forward to contributing my energy and passion to make this year’s Sober Grad Night a memorable and meaningful experience for our graduates.
